A Texas woman who pleaded guilty to a criminal charge in a car crash that killed her fiance is suing General Motors.
Candice Anderson is asking a federal judge in Tyler to set aside a $75,000 settlement in the case.
The lawsuit accuses GM of concealing an ignition switch problem. Anderson alleges the switch slipped out of the run position while she was driving in November of 2004. That knocked out power steering and brakes, causing her to lose control of a Saturn Ion and crash into a tree. She alleges GM knew about the problem but didn't disclose it until this year.
