Lafayette Super Regional Championship: Louisiana vs. Ole Miss

Great season, especially coming back from loser's bracket in regionals. Cajuns athletic program got a lot of notoriety the past 3 weeks. It's too bad everything went wrong the past two nights. Losing super regional as a host is tough, but ole miss should have been a national seed as well. It was the worst possible matchup for a national seed, to play the one team that should have also been a national seed.

Its also too bad that next year will likely be a rebuilding year of sorts.

Too many free baserunners........just too many. Not a choke, this team has fought & fought & fought for Louisiana all season. Leonards/Harrison was nails tonight at the plate....balance of team had opportunities, just didn't happen. Nothing but pride here. Sucks to lose but those guys deserve every ounce of gratitude from the Cajun Nation to the very end.

Our guys did not choke, but we just got beat by a better club. They may have a shot at winning it all. It was a great year, but we drew the wrong team for the supers and we came up short.

Our guys played their hearts out all year and deserve to be congratulated on a fantastic season. I wish it had continued for a few more games, but Old Miss is a great club.

Realism isn't the same as fair weather... giving up on a 2 run deficit is one thing... THe odds here are close to 0%.
