It would be stupid to turn down a bowl game.
I have longed for this for so long.
Louisiana representing on National T.V. Bowls bring home money and recruits.
Just think a bunch of cajun fans in N.O. or Shreveport partying it up.

    We have to beat MT.
It will not be good for Bustle if we lose this game. If we win, and get to a bowl, the team will have time to heal.
All will be healed if we win the bowl game.

People who are ready to fire Bustle need to read your statement.

I'll take it a step further. If we get to a bowl game and lose, you still can't fire him.

I know, I know: Mediocrity, 7 years, dip, gap teeth, no headset...

If he gets us to a bowl game he is safe, and we should be happy! Beating Middle Tennessee is the single most important game of Bustle's career.

It will be interesting to see if that fact will be translated to what we see on the field.

I'm only going to say this ONCE: ANYONE who says we should turn down a bowl invite IS A FREAKIN' IDIOT. PERIOD!!!

I second what you said, and have something to add. A bunch of people are saying that we aren't worthy of a bowl game this year, well what about 2005? I damn well guarantee you that we were bowl worthy then, and we sure got a bad break then. I'd rather be bowling and not worthy than staying at home as the best team in the conference. Sometimes you catch some breaks, and sometimes you don't. I just think this year we might be in position to catch a break...but can we put ourselves in position to capitalize? To find out, TUNE IN NEXT WEEK, SAME BAT TIME, SAME BAT PLACE!

When given the option, Savoy-Walker-Farmer-Bustle WILL NOT TURN DOWN any bowl invitation. Bet your farm, kids, cellphone and 401K on it.

Now, will one be forthcoming? Middle TN has much to say about any invite coming the Cajuns way, and based on how both teams are playing right now, I wouldn't encourage Cajun fans to make reservations in Shreveport or N.O. just yet.

I feel fairly confident that by sunrise Sunday we will know with reasonable certainty what happens to the winner of next week's game.

Pass interference on a play that at best (worst from your viewpoint) would have resulted in a first down and quick field goal to end the half instead results in a deflected pass caught for a TD.

So who are we pulling for today, besides alabama and nebraska?

Very important game for the Cajuns and the Sun Belt today, Colorado loses to Nebraska on a 57 yard FG with about a 1:25 on the clock. The Big XII will not fulfill all their bowl tie-ins and maybe 2.

On a lesser note, UTEP losing today helps us also as they cannot get bowl eligible. Now with either a loss by Souther Miss or Memphis and CUSA will not fulfill all their bowl tie-ins and the St. Petersburg bowl will be open to a Sun Belt team. Late tonight Arizona St. or UCLA will be eliminated from bowl eligiblity. We are pulling for UCLA because they will face USC next week and most be eliminated then.

I like this pulling for a team to help us thing. It gets me excited for a game with two teams I otherwise wouldn't care who would win.
