Dare I ask...are we going to a bowl game?

_ ESPN still projects us to play in the NO bowl. The only way this would be possible is if the NO bowl released Troy to the Pizza bowl. I assume that it can be done if ESPN is projecting it to be a possibility. _

It sure would be nice to be able to still go to the New Orleans Bowl. However, the team still needs one more win, and I don't think a bowl game will completely eliminate the sting of the second half of the season.

This appears to be a repeat of 2006.

Hopefully our guys can rest up the injuries as much as possible during the bye week so they can get that last win.

We do not deserve to be in a bowl game. Going 1-3 (IF we win on Wed) in the last 4 games is not bowl worthy in my opinion.

Deny any invitation to any bowl, it will cost the program more than they will get just to go to the bowl. Plus I am completely against mediocrity being awarded with a bowl game. Nothing was done to belong in a bowl game.

I'm sorry, but I completely disagree with every part of that post. You want UL, a team that hasn't been to a bowl in forever, to "take a stand against mediocrity" and turn down a bowl invite???

Is anyone thinking here, have you seen or at least looked at the stats the last 3 games. After that look at MT stats the last couple of games. For the Troy game with all its expectations and hype, to see our team come out and play that way again after the UTEP and FAU games, was disgusting. Same old excuses, time to be realistic. Sure for the Seniors, Des, and T if would be great, but putting up a W in the last few games would have been great to...

It would be great, I'll be in the stands on Wed. just like always, especially to salute the Seniors, but don't expect to have a happy walk out of the stadium, just being realistic!

I just don't like the way we'd get there. Troy being too good to go to the New Orleans Bowl and we lose to them. If we do end up beating MTSU (not a given at this point) how will we perform in NOLA?

Serious question - How are your guys holding up injurywise? Do you expect the Raiders to be at or near full strength on 3 Dec.?
