GRAND ISLAND — Ariel Krolikowski's home for the next four years is a long way from home.

Krolikowski, a senior at Grand Island Senior High, signed her national letter of intent earlier this week to attend the University of Louisiana on a volleyball scholarship.

Krolikowski gave her oral commitment to the Division I Ragin' Cajuns late this summer just before the high school season started. Now it's official.

"It was a tough decision considering how far away it was," Krolikowski said. "They have a really good program. The coach is really good. That made the decision a little easier."
