Ain't happening. Probably never will in most of our lifetimes.

The pine trees aren't going anywhere. I guess you never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Moore.

    M. L. "Tigue" Moore. The guy the place is named for. He planted those trees. And he was extremely instrumental in the growth of baseball in Lafayette. I was very glad to hear Foote talk about him on his show (I think it was yesterday morning). He would be ECSTATIC with what's going on right now!

Generations will have to pass before that man is forgotten. Until that time, those pine trees will be a HUGE part of "The Tigue".

Way to be reactive.....there should be an approved plan in place for all sports to provide additional seating if necessary.
    Are you serious?

I have great memories of playing American Legion ball and getting "chewed out" by that man for not having my shirt tucked in correctly! Haha. He was a stickler for doing things the right way. Great man. Great baseball man. And the trees aren't going anywhere.

That's why in my original post, I was curious if they had room between the pine trees and the wall for temporary bleachers. I never went walk out there to see if there is any room. That's why in my original post I say it must be because of the pine trees.

I would definitely never mess with the pine trees. It's fun to watch a home run go into the trees. In the Master Plan when they were talking about possibly moving the ballpark, the first thing I thought about was the trees.

I heard somewhere that a new baseball park was being proposed to be built across the street from Cajun Field. Is there any truth to that rumor? There you could have all kinds of room for a bigger better Tigue.

It would free up parking and tailgating spots for football.

I think they talked about it in the master plan but they decided to keep the ballpark where it is
