Ever been to Lamson? Bleacher across the whole outfield with no concessions and no bathrooms. People walk to get what they need and walk back to their seats. So it is not a far fetched idea.

With that said, I am against putting any bleachers in the outfield at the Tigue. I would be more for expanding the bleachers to the foul poles. The batting cages and bull pens would have to be tweaked/moved.

Since I'm designing a new park in my mind.... I also think they should add more seats than what they are planning to add. And please, for the sake of sanity move the light poles to the back of the bleachers and no more obstructed views.
It was built that way, what is the difference in dimensions by the way? Where would they would walk? Through the bullpen? Then jump the brick wall? That's not gonna happen. All the way around to front gate? The fields aren't set up the same.

I still like the idea of nice tree houses. You would not have to remove the trees. It would be unique.

I agree. If we could build a nice treehouse/deck that was safe enough and could last several years, that would be perfect for big time games at the Tigue.

Playing devils advocate, as part of the upgrade at Lamson they added public rest rooms to the outfield side of the new club house. With updated demand for tournaments, they added temporary concessions in that area as well. With any project that would require construction of facilities, they could add in facilities for bathrooms/concessions as part of the project as well. I hope we get to that point in the future, but for now I'd be happy with a covered grandstand that would add about 1000 seats and greatly increase bathroom and concession options for fans. You shouldn't have to miss an inning or two to get a soft drink or burger. I think you'll also see closed circuit tv's new the new concession areas if those areas don't have a view of the field. The upper concourse shown in the rendering might create a way to get your concessions while still viewing the field. That might also give you some non-traditional seating like "patio" rental areas with a view of the field that would add to the capacity.

Yeah, there has got to be a way to balance their support with increasing capacity.

The problem is not so much the cooking club, but the bull-pens. They could move the pens together on the third base side and extend out seating to the wall on the first base side. See if tennis would be willing to give up one court for the double pen on the third base side.

Or, extend the new grand stand and first and third base seating up to a second deck, like at Texas A&M.

I would not touch the trees.

It would take someone smarter than me but I think the bullpen could be under the bleachers if they were raised a bit and the weight be distributed differently.

So the visiting pitchers and catchers would run behind home plate in the middle of an inning to go to the pen? Don't waste another dollar on band aids...redo the stadium. I agree with you on the double deck though.

No, the Cajuns players can run from the dugout to the pen. The opposing bullpen pitchers and extra catchers can all move to the pen before the game, just as they do in the majors.
