I didn't hear him on Jays show, but I'm done with this turd regardless of what he said. It's easy to find it in your heart to "apologize" when your job depends on it.

I thought Jay did a great job and I am glad he apologized. The only thing that concerned me was his final statements at the end of the interview with Jay. He mentioned something about "as long as it's safe"? During his stay, was he threatened? Did he experience physical or verbal abuse? Did she see some areas of town which would make he feel that Lafayette was "unsafe" for him? Was he worried that if he does take Jay up on his offer, Jay will not look out for this guy's safety? Thought that was a weird comment?

Kid made a mistake. The big ones on ESPN Network and Radio have done too....Big deal. He's a kid and has learned a valuable listen that some grown-azz men still haven't learned......Good for him having the stones to go on Jay's show....how many men would've....

This dude apologized to me on Twitter before most of you even heard this. Point being: he apologized before anyone "made" him apologize.

if you heard it, and you think he wasn't sincere, it's because you had already made up your mind and weren't going to believe him no matter what he said.

It's time for Ragin' Cajuns to remember all the dumb things each one of us has said in our lifetimes and extend this dude a little mery.

Unless we are, indeed, the worst fans in America.

    I don't believe we are.

    Onward. Beat Ole Miss.

I don't always agree with some of the things Jay says but I'll be damned if he isn't a complete pro.

Guy is 29, and I think got caught up in the moment. This is typical of internet message boards. Now I can see him being a little nervous about some of the neighborhoods he may have visited in N Lafayette. But hardly any worse than some I visit in Jackson, Memphis, Baton Rouge, and NOLA.

My job was to get it done, regardless of the neighborhood. Plenty of times I was none to happy about my circumstances, but never made a comment to anyone about those places because it is what it is.

Clearly this guy was in just a small, small area. He ventured up near Sunset. Rolling hills and horse farms. That really does not leave a lot of time to visit some of the better areas in this town.

To be pretty honest, I couldn't care less how sorry this guy is. He said what he said. The only reason he's sorry about anything is because it completely backfired on him. Sounds like the editors of his paper and bosses aren't very pleased with him either. He can take his tail between the legs apology and shove it.

A true apology would've been releasing a print article right after his radio comments to resend what he said. Not being invited on to a radio show in Lafayette and accepting then telling us what we want to hear.

And I'm not even cold hearted, I just really think this guys is a f-cking douche and doesn't deserve our sympathy.

People from the sticks usually make fun of things culturally they don't understand. He couldn't afford a place in River Ranch. It's just stupid and makes them look like idiots. All he needs is a DQ and a Walmart to find high culture. It is really hard to find the DQ and Walmart in Lafayette.

It was funny when Jay told him the he'll take him around to some places where he would like to live and to some places that he couldn't afford.
