    Ridiculous. But you get attention as a writer by making audacious claims.

    Y'know, I've been thinking that most of our losses were not so much to our opponents, as to ourselves and the baseball gods.

    I have to say he's touching on some things I've been thinking about this year. Look at some our losses, E Illinois, UNO, the #3 pitchers for UTA and ASU, and then Jackson State. Then look at how consistent we were against really good teams.

    For me, that's why I'm pretty confident about this weekend. When their big boys show up, our men do.

    It has been the biggest conundrum in my sports watching history.

    UL has played worse than it's very worst opponents but better than their best opponents.

    Since there are no more "worst opponents" I expect UL to play better than the rest the rest of the way.
