This is like asking a Parisian where to see good art.

First place to hit for lunch: OLD TYME GROCERY!! Best po-boys outside New Orleans!!! (And they're REALLY close!!!)

    In order of awesomeness -

    1. Chef Roy's (about 15 minutes west of Lafayette in Rayne, LA. WELL worth the drive. Best cajun / seafood I've ever eaten)

    2. Fezzos (10 mins west of Lafayette in Scott)

    3. Prejeans (10 mins north of I-10 in Lafayette. Good Cajun music and good food)

    4. Randall's (pretty close to ball park. Good music and food)

Lots of other great places but those are my favorite Cajun restaurants

Depending on what time you are coming in:

Cafe Des Amis in Breaux Bridge. That would be east of Lafayette off of Interstate 10. You could hit it on your way into town. They have a zydeco brunch.

In Lafayette for Breakfast, I'd try the French Press Downtown or T-Coon's.

For lunch before the game, too many options to name. Olde Tyme Grocery is right near campus. Get the fried shrimp or fried oyster po-boy. Judice Inn for a unique hamburger.

For seafood, take your pick. There is a lot of stuff. But, based on proximity to the stadium I'd recommend on of the two Don's Seafood locations.

There is also a pizza place called Deano's next to the stadium that is great for a meal after the game.

Finally, on your way into town drive two exits past the exit for the stadium and pick up some boudin or cracklin from either Don's, Best Stop, or Billy's. Its the Scott/Duson exit.

You can eat Deanos pizza inside the stadium, save a visit there for something else.
