I want a point guard who knows what the heck is going on and is smart with the ball. Are we recruiting Warren Fusilier from Northside?? He was the best guard in the state his senior year. He is currently playing at Juco in Los Angeles.

Don't ALL loses fall on the coaches and players? Considering we were without at LEAST 3 starters, i think we did fine... even with a loss.

You sure Gibson didn't play? I thought he came off the bench and got 8??

McCoy still has not impressed me. He had more personal fouls than points and assist added together. He did nothing to help the team win and more to help the team lose at the end of the game. I do not see him producing much on offense and like Daigle and Lego his is small and have trouble handling big scoring point guards. One reason we lost the game is Coach Lee substituted Brandon Dison at the end of the game to cover Tech's guard who was killing us in the second half. I am not sure if we had a timeout or not, if we did we should have used it, but we go back on offense with no pointguard. Well Dison got is pocket picked by a 7 footer who went down and dunked the ball. We fell behind and that was it. Losing Daigle will hurt this team. Although Daigle is not a great point guard and is a liability on defense, he does play very hard, has control of the team, is a great 3 pt. shooter, and stretches the defense.

Bureau had another good game with about 19 or so points. He is becoming a pretty good defender with 5 steals tonight. He is able to block shots and get steals with his long arms. He had some nice drives to the basket.

Gary is the most improved player. He had 11 pts. and 8 rebounds. He now feels very comfortable with the ball in his hands outside, driving, and inside. He has a decent outside shot but not as good as he thinks. Coach Lee needs to make a deal with him such as no more than 3 3's a game unless he makes at least 2. Just like last year he has come out shooting a lot of 3's but not hitting at a high %. Once Grading, Daigle, and Roberson come back he will not need to shoot the 3 because these other guys are better. Gary looks to be a very strong individual, he made some strong rebounds and block outs. He also had the best dunk I have seen since Dwayne Mitchell. Gary went around, through, and over the Tech defense to dunk the ball.

Lego is still Lego. Solid back up point guard. Will give you quality minutes but is not a starter or a game finisher.

Tyren Johnson was very quite tonight with 2 pts. He did block a shot and had 2 steals. He will be needed to knock down the jumper from the top of the key and play great defense. He will be fine.

Batiste played pretty well with 6 pts, 2 steals, and 2 rebounds. He is not a starter but seems to hustle, has great length, and can be a fine substitute off the bench. He is better than I expected but don't get me wrong he is not great. He did hit a nice jumper at the top of the key in the 2nd half.

Bloom has a nice stroke from 3. His ball flight is a little flat but he has a quick release and nice rotation. I keep waiting for him to get hot shooting the ball and I am still waiting. The rest of his game is just OK. Will be role player once Grading and Roberson returns. Bloom can stretch the D if he starts hitting the 3.

Dison looks like he is hurting. He is still limping around. He is a heck of a perimeter defender and has a good mid range jumper. Not a 3 pt shooter and not very physical. Definitely not a pointguard.

Even though we lost last night I was very encouraged knowing what I saw. This team has a ton of potential. We missed a few shot that just rolled of the rim, the referees did not help us (WAC officials), and we a ton of injuries. I said before the season the Tech game will mean much more at the end of the season as I think both teams will have very good season. A win could have meant a different seeding assuming we get into postseason or an at large birth into the NCAA or NIT tournament. As you can see I have I hopes for this team. _

I don't find that Daigle is a liability on D

Lago is Lago and that is anything BUT a solid back-up PG.

I too, was very encouraged by what I saw. When we have that many starters out and play a good team and should beat them, we played well. This team will do just fine in conference. I'd like to see more Barr and Batiste in the lineup at the same time. I feel that Batiste is a much better 4 man and can have the liberty to hit the boards and make things happen. I can't wait until Adeife comes in. That could make for some really athletic front lines.

Brandon Gibson is a true FR and is not related to Kyle Gibson, our leading scorer last year and widely considered the best player on our team.

And it was a dirty trick telling us Bureau wouldn't play...he had a good game.

According to Coach, he got to the gym about 6pm after not practicing for a couple of days to attend the funeral. I will say I thought his trey with under a second to go was going in.

Coach Lee showed ZERO confidence in McCoy down the stretch (for good reason it seems). In fact, you could make the argument that he had no confidence in that B*ll shi+ motion offense that we ran for the final 6 minutes of that game.

WHY ARE WE HOLDING THE BALL WITH OVER 2 MINUTES TO GO IN THE GAME!? Thats playing not to lose.. YOU PLAY -- TO WIN -- THE GAME. We attacked Tech all night and had them on their heals.. I will never understand this strategy by coaches...

We have all the pieces to make some noise this year, but I have little confidence in Lee as a head coach in D1 basketball. He's done some nice things over the past few years, but that was a mental collapse on his home court Saturday night.

    very disappointed..
