Thread: Cajuns complete Super comeback

  1. Default Cajuns complete Super comeback

He had confidence in his starter. He had confidence in his closer.

And, perhaps most importantly of all, Ragin' Cajuns coach Tony Robichaux instilled confidence into a team of kids who believed in even in the worst of times that the best was still to come.

Loved the comments from Tony about Wilson:

"The one thing we knew … was that the day was gonna be tough, so we handed the ball off to one of the toughest guys on this team," Robichaux said of Wilson, a senior lefty who had 21 prior appearances but just five starts this season.

"Win, lose or draw, the greatest thing about (Wilson) … (is) mental toughness. So we knew we had a chance there, because we knew we had somebody who wasn't going to pitch soft or scared. He's never done that."

... and Lindgren pitched scared. And that's your ball game.

You think "BALL FIVE!" doesn't make a difference?

Give me our cracker jack box over your SEC palaces any day. It's the difference between a Super Regional in Oxford and one in Lafayette.

If we outlined our outfield with cheap metal bleachers, our park would look very similar to a lot of those parks and would bring us close to holding the same numbers.

Have you seen Ole Miss' yard? It's awesome. Ours would be nowhere near that with "cheap metal bleachers".

That said, I can't wait until we have the new grandstand. And I wish there was a way to have OF seating, but since Mr. Moore planted those pine trees (and the stadium is named after him), I seriously doubt the trees are going anywhere.

Ryckman has been saying get the treehouse guys in to build decks around the pine trees for a patio type seating at premium prices.

    I like that idea!
