      When coach Robert Lee talked about the UL men's basketball team having a different look this season, this wasn't exactly what he had in mind.

    The Cajuns return four starters and got bigger with a recruiting class that includes four players standing at least 6-foot-8. But the reigning Sun Belt West Division co-champions have struggled in the preseason with injuries going into Saturday's season opener against Louisiana Tech.

    "We have not had our entire team practice at one time this season," said Lee, whose Cajuns were picked in the preseason to finish third in the West. "We have some other guys that we believe can step up and perform and get the job done."

    The Advertiser is now reporting that Daigle broke his hand during Tuesday's exhibition game and will be out 1-2 months.

    I have never seen or heard of a team this banged up BEFORE the season before. Did the basketball and football teams get into some huge fight no one wants to tell us about? I'm kidding, but this is ridiculous.
