I hope no one from this team reads the whinny @$$ drivel some of you are spewing tonight. Boomer is exactly right. I remember going to BR & watching Robe throw Mr Pussball himself Andy Gross. The guy never threw over 60 mph. They timed his pitches with an hour glass. What does Andy do? Evidently the same thing this lid did. He was so bad he kicked the cap ou th of lsu by himself. Does anybody besides me remember that bloody Sunday. JSU has not been beaten yet. Let's see how they handle msu? Meanwhile our guys have to take care of sdsu & that's all they need to think about.

First time posting here. I have been a lurker for some time. I love the Cajuns but let's face it, this performance tonight was down right freaking pathetic. We are the laughing stock of all of college baseball....PERIOD.. I do not care that FL ST lost or what other national seeds may lose tonight to. We lost to one of the worse teams to even make a regional. This was a gimmie game for us. Jack St rpi was like 250 plus. I hate lsu as much as any true Cajun alumni / fan but you do not see them CHOKE opening games in regionals. This is two years in row now. Worse of all we threw our ace for nothing. I appreciate the sunshine pumping by some on here but it is over. Get over it. We had a great regular season. We do not have enough pitching to get our way thru this plus we face SD ST ace tomorrow. I started to worry about our hitting a few weeks ago; however, I never thought we would got shut out to Jackson freaking ST a SWAC team.

Then what is everybody crying about then? You guys watched this team play this year. I didn't get that luxury. You all know this team hasn't been beaten twice in the same weekend all season long. Yes, it's a tragedy to waste an easy opportunity & great pitching performance like Austin had. But how many times have I heard so many of you people say "it's baseball?" Until I could vomit. These guys are champions. And they're fixing to lick their wounds & show all of us fair weather chicken Littles that tomorrow's another day. And until they're on the bottom end of another score at the end of nine or more innings in another game this season, then their still alive & still champions. I believe in this team. And I'm not going to quit believing because little David got a kill shot in today. Today was Davids. Congratulations JSU. Now, step the Frick off or get run over by the pain train. What I want to know is how many steals & how many walks we had during this contest. Did we just rely on our power to beat this guy in the ground or did our guys play ul baseball & attack the base paths? If we didn't attack the base paths then I want to know why not.

I think we had the lead man on in 7 of 9 innings. I think we sacrificed twice. That is NOT Cajun baseball.

We had the tying run 90 feet away with 1 out. Guess we never thought about the squeeze?

It is not that the Cajuns lost. It is how (scoreless) and WHO (jack st) the Cajuns lost to. Remember it was not a loss to MISS ST or even SDST. It was Jack St. I bet this is the first regional game they ever won.
