Thread: Unique perspective of Cajun Field

Default Unique perspective of Cajun Field

I've been working on my panoramics and thought you guys would appreciate these. I will need to work on the exposure and the parrallax issue when I make my next outing. To put it the size of these in perspective, the font size of the watermark letters range between 200-300. You can actually zoom into some of them and see whats inside the windows.

With the rest of the stadium looking much better it makes the wooden addition at the bottom of the press box look really bad.

I'm getting there; Hopefully, I'll create a one of a kind image of the field by the end of the season. I actually managed to get locked into the stadium today...with my bike. That was precarious. I must be the only person to ever claim successfully breaking into Cajun Field as well as breaking out.

Attempting to manipulate images that are 18,000px X 2,200px wreaks havoc on a computer's RAM!

When looking at the student side of the stadium, I wonder why we don't cut off the U-shaped tops of the back side of the stadium, above where the retired players pictures are. It gives the stadium an unfinished appearance and would look better if that U-shaped upper extensions were removed. Seems like it would be pretty simple to do until such time as we decide what kind of stadium enlargement we are going to do.

I'm still trying to perfect this technique. this pano's comprised of about 30 pictures blended and stitched.

and this one I just liked the most of the pics I took this season.

What game was this? Why such poor attendance?

Looks like the Wednesday night game against Middle Tennessee. The crowd got a lot better later... since the game was early on Wednesday night (supposedly for SBC television obligation). You are seeing the student side... and they didn't make a big showing that night. We really predicted a much worse crowd considering it was early, middle of the week, and expected to be very cold. We need to get photographers to get more snaps of the pressbox side (not from), and especially future television shots.
