For breakfast you could also try Meche's Donuts... Or Meche's Donut King.
I honestly wouldn't recommend it. Too expensive for what you get. Lunch menu is what makes it work but obviously you won't be lunching there.
Go to Fezzo's. They have basically taken over since Prejean's fell off and their prices are reasonable. You will not be disappointed, they have all the dishes you could want to try and you'll leave well pleased.
It is good, cheap, diner breakfast. I worked there for a couple years in college. If you want a truly unique delicious breakfast, I would suggest French Press and Cafe Des Amis, but for a traditional diner type breakfast, Hub City is heads and shoulders better than Mels and most other diners I have eaten at.
Turbine, how much do the restaurants pay to sponsor the site? You should be hitting those guys up for at least a couple of hundred a piece.
Lots of this is true, sadly. The bread used to be out of this world, and of all things they had the best croutons on the planet. They also cut out my favorite dish anywhere, the Snapper Pontchartrain. It's still a very good restaurant, but it's not as good as it used to be. Now it doesn't take as much to fill me up as BWK so I still leave full, but it's only a really good restaurant now, not a great one.
