Never heard of it before today. Never ate a Dwight's & passed there a million times. Just never thought about it. As far as over & under on total pages, this is not only about food, it's about booze, & a place to sleep it all off. This could go on all summer. I vote we bring back the Hud at olde tyme grocery & insert. Does the site have enough memory space for that?
Blue Moon will be great option for live music and drinks after the games! But could also be a great spot to stay if you're down with the whole hostel expierence.

He'll find a few old posts from JohnBoy in there, our old Miss State buddy
Pizza Village (2 locations in town), Tsunami (as others have said..AMAZING!), Judice Inn, Legends also has very good food..
As far as downtown goes, personally, I'd stay away from it during the weekends, with the exception of the daytime Parking's a hassle and the clientele. that frequents it hasn't exactly been the greatest over the past few years (translation: there's A LOT of trash that goes there on weekends). Corner Bar, Tap Room, any of the other Legends that aren't downtown are superb.
Hope you enjoy your time down here. Should be an exciting weekend of baseball
If you haven't had the Sweet Baby Breesus from the French press, make it happen. Biscuit sliders with boudin pattis, bacon, and canes syrup. Killer
You might enjoy it enough to return next week and cheer for us against Ole Miss!
Another place to stay would be the Juliette downtown. Which is not far from most of the places mentioned in this thread. Carpe Diem Gelatto and Expresso bar is in the same building. Silvia makes gelatto every day with fresh ingredients. Which is right across the street from the Filling Station (I have found the food there disappointing the last few times I went). It is also a few blocks from Bordens Ice Cream shop (the only Bordens Ice cream shop left).
The French Press is absolutely the best restaurant in Lafayette. Well know chefs have visited the place for television and have bowed down in homage to the food.
I understand The Little big Cup in Arnauldville is excellent also. I have not been though.
Even with all of the restaurants listed above it is safe to say that the best food you will find will be at a home somewhere. That, my friends, is why chain restaurants don't stand a chance in this town.
