Thread: Recruiting Question - RB

UL Football Recruiting Question - RB

"running back Trent Richardson from Pensacola, Florida who is a soft commitment to Alabama. One thing that might be working in LSU's favor with Richardson is that his brother Terrell Richardson is a sophomore defensive end at UL-L and the two are very close."

This was taken from DandyDon.com. My question is UL recruiting this RB? and if so what are our chances. If he is close to his brother and we are WINNING, we should have a shot at this kid. Especially with the fact of all the records FENROY has broken. It shows a recruit he CAN EXCEL with the CAJUNS.

    Anybody know?

As far as what has been reported so far, I believe the answer to your question is no, we aren't recruiting him thus far. We have several very nice RB prospects we are looking at right now and remember, we have a stable of young talented backs that are all young waiting. We may have one spot max for a RB due to the fact that we only have 15 scholarships to give and have to replace a lot of skill guys.

Just spoke to a co-worker from Cecilia earlier who said that Wiltz is really looking hard at UL. He said that he is the type of kid who would want to stay close to his family and understands that he can excel with the Cajuns.

I als heard that Dillon Anthony wants to play for the Cajuns but dont know what his grades look like.

Now thats funny...DumbdyDon using UL as a recruiting tool for State. Yea, I bet they are really telling the kid how much they love us and how the brothers could spend time together when we have the weekly UL - State kuumbiaa songfests.

This guy is being recruited by Alabama and LSU. I am guessing we would take him under any circumctances. Come on Terrell, give us a good plug!

According to Cajun T he has had an offer but no way he comes UL. We are talking about Trent Richardson argubly the best RB prospect in the country.

Why shouldn't we try. We have the most potent offense in the nation right now. I am not taking away from any current, previous, or future recruit but why can't we look at the best RB recruit in the nation? If he is close to his brother, maybe there is an outside shot. Heck, maybe his parents want him close to his older brother??? I thought it was very interesting about the connection. Has he ever visited campus? to see his brother? been by the complex? attended a game? JMO. thx for all the info so far from the guys "in the know".

Yea I mentioned Richardson in some other recruiting thread a week ago. I really highly doubt we could get a 5 star RB, but it doesn't hurt to offer. Honestly, it would never happen though.

Wiltz and Walker are the 2 guys that we should be hoping for and I'm sure we will get one or both. Walker being the top rusher in the state right now.
