oohh .. go figure.. how dumb i am.. (smiles)

although, you saying to try to "bug " me.. they are willing to throw no less than 3 or 4 fellows into and under a bus?

okay, if i asked those who are being portrayed in this silliness..
    IE:
"what a great scott has said
" ...Scott eluded to the fact that some high schools in the area put a block in the communication process when the university tries to recruit certain players.

"what jay has said" ... Jay publicly stated in response to a caller's question on his show that Carencro has been one of the schools to be less than supportive or cooperative with the UL coaching staff.

"what big dave has said" .... Recently it was stated that Big Dave was overheard to say to the UL coaches that he would help with recruits but not against lsu.

"what cajun coaches have said" ...the UL coaches will admit that they feel the cold shoulder from some of the local caoches. The UL staff recently recounted at the QB Club some of the coaching clinics, informal roundtables and other efforts at outreach to the local coaches and yet when it comes to steering players to UL some of the coaches steer their studs away from UL but then get miffed if UL will not take their leftovers.

"what one or the other or both coach barousse's have said" (mac) .. he commented on fenroy being the first cajun to rush for 1,000 yards for "sli, usl, ull, or whatever the hell they're calling themselves there these days."

    did you say that?

my early thinking is all of them will have the o-pine.. "mais huh?" (smiles).. no i did not..

got to love al gore, we all are experts.. ey?

ps. thread question... What HS's don't let their players communicate with UL??

If a high school did not allow UL to come in and talk to kids, and then a kid missed out on a chance to play ball, don't you think that would go public before it happened too many times?

    The answer is YES.

He wasn't recruited for a scholly by d1 but lower classes offered however he chose UL since he was promised preferred walkon status. Then had that taken away twice. He is still a fan UL tho.

Again cajuns need to go after some of our d players. The 3 d linemen are solid with churphy steward likely to be 4 star next year.
Like you said, these guys need the grades first

Just want to bump for small family update, haha. I'm proud to say my cousin made it on the squad after tryouts this past week. He was among like 50 tryouts and I think 3 made it on the team. Like I said earlier, he had been offered preferred walk-on status at times his senior year, but they didnt have the room on the team at that time. He is completing his first year at UL and is maintaining TOPS. He tried out at QB since that was his natural position in at BBHS, but coaches said they hadn't decided where he will play, likely WR though. He is one of the first BBHS players in a while to be on the UL football team, even if it is practice squad or whatever level he gets up to in his career.

I know this kid and I think he can eventually help the Cajuns. I am not miffed that the Cajuns turned him away last year. They didn't have room for him. But now that they are giving him an opportunity, i think he will earn a spot and eventually contribute. He is a heck of an athlete... and a great student too.
