I look at this argument and I don't think it holds water.

The Acadiana kids who are D-1 prospects do not have the grades as of now.
Robert Walker has grade issues as well.
    Marcus Wiltz has an offer.
    Andrew Hebert has an offer.
Ricky Johnson has an offer. Committed to Arkansas.
    Jordan James has an offer.
    Deon Anthony has grade issues
Michael Lamothe committed to Texas A&M

I might be missing a few but these are the D-1 prospects in the local area. To me we have offered the guys that can play at this level in this area who are eligible or close to eligible. Maybe these high school coaches and parents should take more responsibility for their kids not getting grades and stop blaming the UL coaches for not offering their kids. I would love to have Robert Walker and Deon Anthony but if they can't get the grades they don't deserve the chance.

Dugas signed with Alabama for baseball, not Hebert.

At times during his 16-year career as a truck driver, Kermit Tyler Sr. brought sons Kermit Jr. and Ashton with him on the road. It gave them a glimpse into the life of a blue-collar worker.

Now he sees similar traits in son Ashton, who after a visit to UL last weekend became the first Class of 2009 prospect to publicly commit to sign with the Cajuns. He also held offers from Louisiana Tech and South Alabama and got interest from Southern Miss and Boise State.

"I'm definitely a blue-collar kind of guy, and Ashton has the same work ethic," Tyler Sr. said. "I think they (UL) got a real steal in him."
