Athlete (1984-87) Patrick Broussard

Patrick Broussard finishied his University of Louisiana career with a total of 76 extra points and 44 field goals.

By the time he was done at Louisiana he ranked as the second highest scorer in school history.

His point total still ranks #1 amongst non quarterbacks.

Later in the year Patrick has a kick in the wind the gives Louisiana a winning record. For 1984 Patrick was a perfect 23 of 23 on extra points.

For the year he scored a total of 53 points.

For 1985 Patrick was a flawless 13 of 13 on extra points and 11 of 19 on field goals while kicking a 50 and 53 yarder along the way.

Patrick's sophomore year was his second straight in which his 46 points made him the Cajuns leading scorer. It was also his only season where he scored less than 50 points.

Other than his missing an extra point for the first time in his career, 1986 was a banner year for Patrick. At one point during the season he set a Ragin' Cajun record with 8 straight 3 pointers.

For the third straight year P.B. was the University of Louisiana's scoring leader, as he scored a career high 58 points.

1987 found Patrick sharing kicking duties with Freshman Mike Lemoine. Yet through it all Patrick still found a way to score 51 points.

Patrick Broussard is one of only 3 players who have scored over 200 points in the career at the University of Louisiana.

It's no wonder he was successful, it looks like he kept the same form his whole career.
