Who is John Dugas?
Who is John Dugas?
Gee. I bet it would cost gazillions to put a guardrail fence on the bottom wall...
You're right. Cajun Field parking looks like a homeless camp after tailgating.
The mess is not a bad thing, and we need to do everything we can to build a relationship between the community and the teams.
Actually, what we need is MORE people sitting in those stands AND a bunch of people sitting on the hills!! We're not unique for this, either. The first time I saw people sitting on a grassy, end-zone hill like this was actually at the University of Missouri, and I thought that was the coolest thing I had ever seen.
When I was a smoker I spent a lot of time sitting on the ground near the endzones. I didn't want others to be bothered by my smoke. One night I believe it was a Tech game, a very big brown spider (I guess a wolf spider) crawled on my blue jeans! That was the last time I sat in down out there. Perhaps the announcer should tell them that there are many spider nests there?
Just my 47 cents on the grassy knoll.....
#1 - my kids grew up playing on the hill whle I watched the game... despite having the expensive chairback season tickets.... they would not have been able to come back then if I had to have them sitting still in the seats.... Now they are Cajun fans despite the pressures from their peers to wear p&G....
#2 - It very much adds to the uniqueness of Cajun Field.... just like going outside at Half-time for a cold one or twelve... as long as you come back in for the second half of course
qut nitpicking.... we seem to be building something here... the rap song was better than I anticipated.... the Terrill towels were an awesome sight... the ring the stadium hand slapping after victories involves everyone in the experience.... we are WINNING... NOW is the time to build something new and unique and not try to copy the big boys.....
HAHAHAHA "Lap Dance"! Nice
I've grown up watching Cajun games on that hill. I sit there for the second half of all the games. It's nice to just kind of relax and also you get a different angle of the action.
The start of the thread was more of a rant. But really I was a little peeved to see the police being that way after a win. I know they are on duty and I know some of the kids are a little much by the end of the game but once the final whistle blows, lets allow a little player fan interaction. Especially to see the kids so excited to shake hands with the players is awesome, when i was growing up the chance wasn't there to get that close to the players you looked up to. I think somebody at UL needs to let the officers know that it's okay to get on the rim once the game is over.
