And we would also have a rain shortened and arm shortened victory against them.

I would bet ASU advances out of BR.

Would LSU still run Nola out there with one arm? Hummmmmm...

It's there only shot...without Nola...I doubt they are even a regional team.

If they had to drop down and pitch their 2, 3, and 4 guys on the weekends. There is a good chance they have 32, 33 wins instead of 40, a mediocre conference record and are then left begging for a 3 seed.

LSU fans know that too. I was looking at their board a few weeks back when one of the regional projections came out. Some commented there was a huge drop off after Nola and in a three game super regional against the Cajuns, they were unsure about what would happen in the third game (They would expect Nola to win Friday and we win Saturday)

It's hard to give this blog much credit when they have us as a 4 seed. I'm sorry, but that just isn't possible fellas. This projection is worthless. Any projection that has us higher than a 6 seed, is clearly not even looking at the RPI and the strict criteria by which the committee judges upon.

In softball Oregon had like the #5 RPI and was awarded the #1 seed I believe. I think they use the RPI mostly to get the top 8 in, then use the resumes more to separate 1 from 8. Obviously it is all subjective and how the committee feels is the best way to approach it, but I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility to be a #4 national seed with a #7 RPI (if we can hold on to the #7 RPI and go undefeated in the Conf. Tourney...

I'll be optimistic about it, but with everything Brian has stated over the last few weeks, it seems like baseball seeds differently than Softball. Either way, it doesn't really matter to me what National Seed we get, as long as we get one. Haha

Honestly if we win the SBC tournament we will likely be between a #4-6 national seed. Mark it down!
