I sure hope they give him another chance next year. I know he had an off year, but he is still a very good starting quarterback with a lot to offer. I know this doesn't mean that he or anybody else should be a starting quarterback in and of itself, but he is a class act and the NFL needs players like Jake. Not to mention the fact that he is a RAGIN CAJUN

The Colts have come out flat in their last few playoff runs and many fans have grumbled that this is the reason. Personally I think it is the right move but perhaps the starters could play a half?
Payton pretty much summed it up in the early press conference during the week. There is no right answer, and the only time you don't get blamed is if you win your playoff game. Had the Saints played everyone and loss, ouch, even if nobody gets hurt. This way the loss is glossed over by the fans, and guys like Sid who think that games are not won on the field but in the imagination of fans.

This is a fact, Jake beat the Saints twice this season for whatever reason, and and has beaten them like a drum over his life as a panther. Nothing says it like a score.

I guess where I got my reasoning was that when we did have our starters in there, we seemed to move the ball at will. I don't care what has happened in the past. The past is the past, and that's all. If I had a million dollars and could put it on the table, I would definitely do that and bet on our starters to have easily beat Carolina on Sunday.

anyhoo, it's a moot point since we're in playoffs and their not. lol. sorry jake, I love ya, but, nanana boo boo!

Y'all have a good new Year

    God Bless

yeah? And then Mr Delhomme shoved it down the Aints throat to knot the game at 7. He easily moved the ball down the field against the "vaunted" Saints defense. Sid, you're a nice dude so for your sake and all the others that have put up with 40 yrs of BS, I wish the Saints well.

And the time the Panthers had the ball 1st and goal from the Saints' 3 and rammed it...nowhere. Against a defense consisting of 2nd and 3rd stringers. IMPRESSIVE. The Panthers won, they did what they were supposed to do, but it would be real hard for me to be proud of a team for beating backups by 10. If the Saints needed the game, they would have won the game...it's speculation on my part, so my saying that is as valid as somebody else saying "no they wouldn't have," but c'mon. Be real.

Man, all this croaking about Jake vs the Saints... I thought it was a great day. Our Saints are in with a by and a home field, and our Jake overcame his injury to put on a pretty solid showing. I thought it was a good day for Louisiana and the Cajuns.

And, I thought Sean Payton made the right choice on the starters and how long they played, regardless of the outcome of the playoffs. The risk of injury penalty is greater than a few rehearsal benefits. Payton has impressed the heck out of me.

    Geaux Saints and Geaux Jake!

Yes Payton made a good gamble, we will see if it pays off in two weeks.

Saints had a nice season in a bad conference. Nobody in the NFC would be playing if they competed in the AFC this year.
