Four Carolina Panthers were selected to the Pro Bowl on Wednesday. Quarterback Jake Delhomme, wide receiver Steve Smith, offensive guard Mike Wahle, and defensive end Julius Peppers were selected to the NFC squad for the All star game in Hawaii after the season. Punter Jason Baker is a first alternate to the NFC Pro Bowl squad. Special teams player Karl Hankton, middle linebacker Dan Morgan and return man Steve Smith are second alternates. Man it's going to be tough to beat Seattle this year, I really hope Jake and the Panthers do it but I'm not completely confident they will.

Jake and the Panthers have to quit shooting themselves in the foot. They should have beaten Dallas. What was Steven Smith thinking about when he touched the referee....duh....

Beat the Falcons this weekend and they are in the hunt....

At last a point we can agree on. There is no more overrated, overhyped QB in the league than Vick.

Its as if ESPN deemed him a star back in his VaTech years and can't recant now.

I dont remember ever hearing about a Defensive Coordinator game-planning AROUND Mark Brunell.. Vick adds another element to their offense basically by being another running back. He's definitely average when he chooses to throw, but he can turn nothing into a touchdown just like that if defenses aren't careful.

The fact that he got consideration for Pro-Bowl voting isn't a sign that he's overhyped, it's a clue that the NFC is light years behind the AFC in terms of real probowl quarterbacks. In my honest opinion, they should put Delhomme's name on the probowl roster and beside put: Jake Delhomme (Steve Smith)

Haha sorry guys, but I got to UL after Delhomme was gone and being a die-hard Saints fan, I just can't get on the Jake Bandwagon. It's good to see a UL grad make the probowl, and I hope we have many more to come.. I might change my mind about Jake if he decided to stop wearing the stupid jersey with the floppy sleeves...

HEY HEY HEY, the Aints arent the worst team in football. We are just a little bit better than the Texans. Lets pray for a number 2 pick so we can either get Leinart or a trade it for a few more first round picks and go after another QB like Tate from UCLA (if hes a senior) or some of the MAC qb's like Frye or Gradkowski (i think thats his name).

And on the topic of Vick, he gets voted in because he sells a ____ of a lot of jerseys. Plain and simple, he sells.
