And I stand corrected ------the funny thing is that I could swing a bat without the slightest pain and just couldn't bring the arm back!!!

Considering the Texans sat a lot of their starters for various reasons I wasn't surprised that Yates stayed out and Jake stayed in, especially with Jake putting up a pretty solid performance. Saying that, I really think Yates will start next week. He's been starting the last few games and I think the only reason he wasn't put back in the game was #1 fear of further injury to his shoulder and #2 Jake's performance. From what is being said, Yates and his shoulder appears ready to go for next week and considering the amount of work he's gotten with the first team squad compared to Jake over the last few weeks I really think he'll get the start.
That TD pass on Sunday gives him TD passes with 4 different NFL teams, I believe. Does that officially make him a "journeyman QB" now???
They should have put jake in! TJ played horrible and Jake is known for last minute heroics! I fully believe he would have drove them down for a TD!
No doubt. I see how they could start TJ because of his success last week, but if Jake would've started I think he may have put them in a better position to win. Ray and Reed will eat a young QB like TJ alive any day. Would've liked to see Jake, a QB with playoff experience, perform well and get the Texans in the AFC championship. After the Saints loss, I was really pulling hard for Houston and Jake.
TJ didn't really have a great game last week, he was efficient, but far from good. He was 11-20 for 159 and a TD. That game was won by Arian Foster and the Defense. I thought that the best scenario for the Texans would be for Jake to start in the playoffs because of his experience. He's definitely lost his magic that he had early in his career, but for a few game stretch, he's still a QB that can win you a few games and knows when and how to push the ball down field. Hopefully he will get on with another team this off season and get another chance, maybe someplace like a Jacksonville where he can back up a young QB, but be in a good position to take the reigns if the QB there falters.
Never said TJ was good last week, just that he didn't throw the game away like he did yesterday. If my team is down late in the game like the Texans were yesterday, I'm not going to put my confidence in a rookie QB, who's already thrown 2 INTs, to start slinging the ball around. Especially with Ed Reed back there.
