ouch... Can you feel it Steve?
I know everything else on her is white, but that is NOT a white BOOTY. Daaaaannnnnggggg.
I'm a fan of Jake and all but I still don't understand how there are so many Panther fans in LA. I've yet to hear anyone give me a good explaination. Imo, if you were a Saints fan before Jake went to Carolina and now you're a Carolina fan then I think that's just a bad fan. I could understand if Carolina wasn't in the same division as the Saints but for petes sake they play each other twice a season.
(I know this would never happen, just hypothetical) If Desmo transfered to A&M BR after last season, would you be a BR fan?
I just don't get it. Explain it to me.
After the saints continually year in and year out would amaze me with bad personnel decisions, I was frustrated, almost as if they were trying to lose. The final straw came when Arron Brooks was physically injured, not like "oh I can push through it" injured, but "I have a separated shoulder and can barely throw" injured and they refused to give Jake a chance, because Jake wasn't good enough to be a starter. If you don't think that the saints make bad personnel decisions, so be it, but be happy with having Meachem on the practice squad when he's clearly shown that he's a better receiver than Patten and Henderson.
With that said, when I gave up on the saints, I was gonna look for a new NFL team, I fell with the panthers, and Jake being there was a bonus. They play good fundemental ball, stout D with Julius Peppers, and hard nosed football and have Steve Smith, who is the most explosive player in the NFL. I am not just a panthers fan just because of jake, he is as I call the bonus, but when Jake moves on, I will still be a Panthers fan. In fact, I was mad initially with the panthers draft because I didn't think that they addressed the QB situation enough. Jake is good, but he will be coming up on 34 next season, and they need to groom someone to be his successor. Some panther fans here may not have watched any of the panther games after jake went down last year, but I watched as many as I could (Which is what lead me to my belief that the panthers needed to draft a QB because none of the backup QB's were even close to serviceable).
Does all this mean I hate the saints? Heck no, I pull for them when their not playing the panthers, but I also won't lose sleep if they lose the game, I dealt with enough frustration of the saints when I did support them to ever deal with that again. In my dream world, the panthers would go 16-0 and the saints would go 14-2.
Call me an Arnold if you want, but I like a team that will put the best players on the field and in a position to win instead of letting your check book determine who starts and who sits. It feels a little to me like the saints have ray authement jr or a mini version of Al Davis running the team in Benson.
