Does anyone know how Jake has done with the ESPY nomination? Just checking.

P. S. I am hearing conflicting reports. An immediate family member told me he did indeed win an award, but it was not the ESPY. Then one of the clowns on the channels in Lafayette just said that he lost out to Lebron James. If he did loose out to Lebron, it is BS!! I won't get into what I really think about the NBA and their creeps! I might get catagorized as being,.....well, I let you figure it out! I've known Jake personally for quite a long time now and it would be a great injustice for him not to win his category! WHO CARES ABOUT THE NBA AND THEIR "SIDE SHOWS"?????
OK, enough of my ranting! Good Luck Jake!!!!!
I think Jake came in second for break through player.
The Saints won the big play of the year.
The Cajuns had a similar play last year, but it was called back because the lateral continued to travel forward even though it was thrown well behind the tosser.
They were just running to fast when it happened.
The paper this morning also said he lost out to LeBron James. To my way of thinking James was not really a breakout player since he was so hyped and he was expected to play at a high level. Jake was pretty much an unknown outside of this area and performed well above everyones expectations. I guess I just have a different definition of breakout than ESPN voters.
Hammer,
I agree with your assessment. Unfortunetly its just a popularity contest and Lebron won. Good thing is it just doesn't matter one bit.
Shof
I agree with what all of y'all said. It is bs that Jake didn't win. But then of course when you leave it up to your average fan voter, instead of the "experts" at ESPN, there's even less likely of a chance that they'll get it right. UL fan or not, I think everybody who really knows whats up, knows Jake should have won. Well, the ESPY award does mean something or else we wouldn't have wanted Jake to win it, but really, it doesn't mean too much. Let's just hope Jake wins a SuperBowl ring during his career. He deserves it. Geaux UL!
God Bless.
p.s.- On my UL bumper sticker and a couple of shirts, I blanked out the "Lafayette" part so it just says UL. Aren't y'all proud of me?![]()
" I am hearing conflicting reports. An immediate family member told me he did indeed win an award, but it was not the ESPY"
p.s.s.- so what award did he win?
Jake was only nominated for 1 award. He did not win it.
