Oh you better believe it. We are the 2-time defending Paint-the-Town Red Exterior winners. My grandfather played football for SLI in the 50s, my grandmother, 2 aunts and 1 uncle graduated from USL, both my parents bleed vermilion and white, and I myself am I student there. Soon, my little sister will be there as well. Only 2 family members have ventured to the "other" school. One went to LSU and the other LSUE. They have been disowned by the family (just kidding).

Lafayette needs signs acknowledging jake in the super bowl, they had all kinds of signs for lsu two weeks or more in advance, i understand the university is going to do something of the sort.

I got to agree there. When I read these articles I get the goosebumps. Everywhere I turn lately, since everyone here in NOLA knows I'm from Breaux Bridge, I get "how bout your hometown boy Jake" I just give a big smile

Don't feel bad Rebel. One of my six went to McNeese, the others are all UL grads or soon to be a grad. He was fondly referred to as the child in exile. Now that he is back in the area, he has seen the error of his ways. He attends UL athletic events and pulls for the Cajuns boisturely!! But he still likes his 'Pokes.
