If you interview Delhomme, you would ask "How did your experiences in college prepare you for the NFL?"
"He played his college ball at Louisiana."
"He played his college ball at Louisiana-Lafayette."
Either of those statements would have been less "inflammatory".
It's the two-word phrase "local college" that seems to be getting everyone in a huff.
However, you "give money to the University," and you "expect more from the University administration."
The two words seem to be used in different contexts, but the meaning of the words are the same.![]()
