During SQL Server 2014 launch from April 15 – 17, the general public was invited to step into infinity and discover new insights at the Microsoft Infinity Room in San Francisco, California. Microsoft created this project to show the power and value of Big Data. Watch the video above to see the experience in action. In collaboration with data journalist Simon Rogers, Universal Everything created an immersive data_narrative experience exploring the power of big data. A 15′ x 8′ mirrored room and subtly choreographed pixel spheres echoed the LED animations, creating an_endless digital landscape. Designed in code and running in real-time, the experience tells the story of the_world around us through the medium of a simple US quarter. Tied into a major Microsoft product launch, the Infinity Room was installed at 3 Embarcadero Center in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District over three days.
