I disagree I listened closely and he said university of louisiana

When the game first started the Seahawks listed first (Offense) a few minutes later the Steeler def did the same. Ike said New Orleans La.
He possibly said something else at another part of the game, but the people I was with all heard the same thing with the first introductions. Possibly if someone taped the game, they will have the answer.

I would have loved to hear "Ike Taylor - University of Louisiana" but he did say "New Orleans, Louisiana". I think you guys are hearing what you want to hear.

If anyone heard anything else besides" New Orleans La." with the first Intrductions ,we should have been at their party.

Guys, its not like "University of" and "New Orleans" sounds even relatively close. I don't know what yall were listening to, but I had about 13 people at my party and we cranked up the volume and all moaned because we were HOPING he would say "Ike Taylor - University of Louisiana". It just didn't happen.

One he said Nola.

If we're talking about the first defensive series for the Steelers, I heard him say stutter a tiny bit and say "New Orleans, LA." I think that only makes sense since that he'd say New Orleans to draw attention to the area. I didn't see or hear a 2nd introduction.

But anyway, I don't get the point of the argument. A Ragin' Cajun had a crucial interception on the way to his team winning the World Championship. Celebrate!

DETROIT Five years ago, Ike Taylor was playing flag football and intramural basketball at Louisiana-Lafayette before deciding to walk on to the Ragin' Cajuns football team his junior year -- as a running back. The Harvey native has come a long way since. On Sunday, he will line up as the starting cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XL. "I always told myself I had a shot. I told my mom when I was young that I would make it to the NFL, and I believed that from the bottom of my heart," said Taylor, who convinced his coaches to move him to cornerback his senior season, then took advantage of the attention NFL scouts were paying to his All-American teammate Charles Tillman. Taylor flashed enough speed and potential to become a fourth-round draft pick in 2003. He started two games in his first two years with the Steelers before becoming a full-time starter this season; already he has been labeled as Pittsburgh's best cornerback since Rod Woodson. Now he is soaking up his first Super Bowl experience with all the wide-eyed enthusiasm one would expect from one of this game's biggest underdogs. "It's crazy. I love it, though," said Taylor, who played along with off-the-wall media requests from TV stations in Mexico, Canada and Austria, among others, Tuesday afternoon.
