Thanks, credit where credit is due.

    Great post DaddyCajun!
Ike is a Cajun and will be a Cajun forever. We(fans) should never turn our backs on our Cajun family--- sometimes our kids do stupid things but we don't turn our back on family

Guy's not a kid anymore. He hasn't given a damn about this University since he left.

Which is sad, because it could be so much more.

Maybe it's our choice not to associate with him like the other great ambassadors of our school. And that's fine. Number 1 rule in gaining fame, never forget where you come from. This guy is a tool, plain and simple. Another great line I picked up a long the way, "don't believe your own bullspit".. Ike believes waaaaay too much of his own bullspit.

In any other era Ike would have been liked even loved.

Unfortunately for him Tillman cast a larger than life shadow of how to promote yourself in the best light.

Still, I don't get the disdain

IMO Tillman being a Ragin'Cajun for life made him beloved, but Ike sowed his own reputation with the fans totally apart from Peanut.

It ain't that we love Peanut and hated on Ike. He turned his back on us and put himself first for a decade. You cannot tell me he was oblivious to how his actions came off.
