Just wondering if anyone in the NFL football circles have heard if anyone has picked up Fenroy as of yet?
These teams are really missing the boat, don't you think? Why are there not more fuss over Fenroy?
Former UL running back Tyrell Fenroy decided to stay in the country to revive his dream of playing pro football.
On Saturday, Fenroy told theadvertiser.com that he has agreed to terms with the Las Vegas franchise in the newly formed United Football League. The all-time leading rusher in school, state and Sun Belt Conference history will leave in September for training camp in Las Vegas before the UFL regular season starts in October.
Fenroy was set to join the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders over the weekend, but was selected by Las Vegas in the inaugural UFL draft.

Yeah, but maybe it might work out.
I persoanlly think it's a good move. No one cares or watches CFL games. The UFL is a new, start up league that will undoubtedly garner some national attention, if for no other reason than because it's new. If TF does well there, he'd certainly be noticed. Also, doesn't the CFL throw the ball 50+ times per game? Good move IMHO.
It might have come down to contract terms and conditions, plus locational characteristics. Hmmm..Calgary or Vegas......Calgary or Vegas. It's a tough choice for a young man.
If you want to make it to the NFL the better move is the CFL.
I doubt an NFL team would take a player based on an 8 game season. They can get a better feel for a player from the college game.
The CFL's 18 game schedule give a better indication on how well a player will hold up and produce.

On the other hand, he will have a Super Bowl coach in Jim Fassel, a former NFL starting QB in JP Losman and other NFL players in this new league. If he plays in 8 games or 18, it only tests his durability which already has few questions. If he excels in 8 or 18 games, it doesnt matter, he just has to get it done. This league will get more attention than the CFL though.
Congrats Fenroy!
A University of Louisiana gridiron great has had a change of heart and now hopes what happens in Vegas gets him to the NFL. Tyrell Fenroy, all-time leading rusher in Louisiana collegiate history, told The Daily Advertiser over the weekend that he has agreed to terms with the Las Vegas franchise of the start-up United Football League, which begins regular season play in October. The league is so fresh, the four teams assembled thus far don’t appear to even have mascot names yet.
The announcement is a one-80 for Fenroy, who just about a week ago had agreed to terms with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League. Fenroy told The Advertiser that after being drafted by Vegas, he decided he would prefer to play in the United States and be closer to family. The running back was signed to a rookie free agent contract in the spring by the NFL's Chicago Bears but was later released.
