Devin McDonald, a sophomore point guard at San Jacinto (Texas) College, is expected to visit campus this weekend.
A former standout at Milby High in Houston, McDonald originally signed with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi but ended up in junior college last season when coach Ronnie Arrow left for South Alabama.
McDonald, a two-star recruit by Rivals.com, earned third team all-conference honors last season after averaging 13.1 points, 8.0 assists and 2.2 steals per game. San Jacinto went 23-9 and reached the semifinals of the Region XIV tournament as 6-foot McDonald had a 2.2:1 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Rivals.com reports that McDonald holds offers from Oklahoma, Colorado State, South Alabama and Ohio. He visited UL's campus over the summer.
