According to a new study, top-level college football players who have logged years in the game are more likely to have structural difference in the hippocampus region of the brain - which is key to memory, than non-players, writes The Washington Post.
The Washington Post writes that the new research, conducted on 50 college-level football players and 25 non-playing peers, also found a link between longer years on the field and slower reaction times on cognitive tests.
