La'Ryan Gary's knee appears to be just fine. At least that seemed to be the case for UL's junior guard/forward on Friday night as the men's basketball team held its first practice of the 2008-09 season.

The 6-foot-7 Gary, slowed by a knee injury at the end of last season, showed off the skills in practice that made him one of the most valuable returning Ragin' Cajuns. The former St. Thomas More and Carencro standout threw down four dunks and hit a pull-up jumper during a 5-on-5 drill against a pressing defense.
