LOUISIANA La. — What’s not to like? University of Louisiana cornerback Ike Taylor has everything NFL scouts like at the position, except experience, and they plan to pick him sometime in this weekend’s draft of college talent.

Which team and which round remain up in the air, but Taylor and fellow Ragin’ Cajun defensive back Charles Tillman figure to be selected.

Three rounds will be completed on Saturday in New York City, with the final four rounds set for Sunday.

“Some say the first day, some the second,” Taylor said. “But I look at it as a lottery. You never know.”

Taylor has been timed consistently in the 4.33-second range in the 40-yard dash, the first measuring stick for NFL scouts. He also has an extraordinary 42-inch vertical leap as well as a 10-foot, 9-inch standing long jump.

In the weight room, Taylor has posted a 350-pound bench press, 435 in the squat and 255 in the power clean.
