#3 in NCBWA poll. SO no changes.
Still no. 3 in NCBWA.
I read this last night from PGs blog. The question was what's the perspective of Louisiana pitching staff heading into post season. Good love yesterday nationally.
Observer, It's an overlooked unit if you ask me. While, sure, the Cajuns have an outstanding offensive lineup, the pitching staff is very solid, too. Baranik/Robichaux/Boutte are quality starters, Reagan Bazar is a key reliever with gas and Matt Hicks/Ryan Wilson also are key arms. This is a very good team in all aspects right now.
Noticed that one too, it's good to see that they are accurate in who they are talking about out of the pen being reliable right now. If Rob-nik-outte can each go 7/8 innings or one a CG in a Regional, we would only need those 3 relievers and maybe 1 more to step up to get the job done.
Edit: That's right, I said it, Rob-nik-outte, a 3-headed monster. Pronunciation: Robe-Nick-Ootie. You're welcome.
Between the two blogs i appreciated someone else looking in at us to evaluate our position. And now we've been endorsed by the writers as solid! We just let the team play and make it happen.
I think the question about the bull pens lack of stoutness is a legitimate question. It is also one that can be the quickest turnaround. And if we stay in the winner bracket it won't matter how deep the bullpen is. We do have a few we can count on. Robe is not happy with the shallow bull pen, but seems to be saying in regionals, super regionals, and CWS it is not a major concern.
If we can somehow get by with Milhorn in game 1 of a regional and hit the crap out of the ball, this bullpen's actually pretty deep. With starters able to go 7-8 innings, I think we're in good shape.
If we get into the losers' bracket, I think we're in decent shape to win 15-11 type games. So let's go to it. I'm ready.
