Some had predicted or speculated on an all Louisiana regional. We know were State wound up. Where did NSU and the Brokebakettes wind up?

Here you go, Hammer:
Northwestern to Baylor...Cowgirls to the house.

Brokebackettes. Clever. Boy, are we "big time."
If you can't see the difference between expecting the NCAA to stay true to its history and screw our softball program with its seeding, and calling a team "Brokebackettes," then I don't know what to tell you.
Maybe you've forgotten the top 20 softball team the NCAA shipped to Arizona as a FOUR SEED in a 6 team regional. I haven't. Neither has Arizona.
Calling teams Brokebackettes? That's what kids on middle school playgrounds do.
Only Mercer, with an RPI of 41, got screwed worse than McNeese [46].
Of course, they knew going in that the Southland was a 1 bid league.
I don't think that was true. A lot of people had McNeese as one of the bubble teams and one of the last four out. Not a surprise that they didn't make it but to say they were a one bid league outright isn't correct. They were definitely in the hunt up to the last day.
I actually would have liked to see them make it. I don't think they stand a chance to compete with us year in and year out but it would be good to have a few programs around us that consistently produce winning teams. This gives us an opportunity to schedule close games against competition that helps our rpi.
