This is not what the original poster was asking. Let me try to rephrase ...
LSU was not a National Seed this season (Top 16). Louisiana was (#6). LSU was not sent to Lafayette for the regional round (but they certainly could have been sent to Lafayette).
Instead ... had LSU been the #6 National Seed and Louisiana was not a National Seed (but a #2 regional seed) ... the poster was asking would Louisiana have been sent to Baton Rouge for the regional round. As has been the case several times in the past (only to see the Cajuns win the Baton Rouge regional time and time again).

All times are EDT.
Sleep well Cajun fans, great week is upon us.
Embrace the double L-L. It will be easier to get Lafayette to a top ten market than drop that last L. Then they can call us Lafayette and everyone will know where we be.
That indeed was what I was asking. Thanks Brian.
In spite of many of our feelings for the school down I-10, it would make for a good regional. It seems that every time lsu has an opportunity to travel here (most recently in 2012-sent to College Station and 2014-Tuson) the committee sends them somewhere else.
So do you want Arizona with their bats, or LS Who with their pitching and improved bats?
Yesterday ESPN U was showing some heart warming stories about the ladies and men of NCAA softball. Of course we did not get a story, but the story about the deaf pitcher for Oregon was very inspirational. The story of the Arizona pitcher who struggles to complete her career due to injuries. tearful. Husband and wife team for Tennessee seems familiar.
Torino getting pregnant after giving up hope and adopting, happens all the time. Happened to my sons best friend as child , he was born because his mom gave up and adopted only to get pregnant. Yea getting pregnant is more heart warming than tearing up your ACL and taking two seasons to physically rehab, and three to mentally rehab. Hamilton IS the story of the year in Louisiana softball both from heart strings and accomplishment.
