No, LSU is the #2 seed. Take a look at the official NCAA bracket (popup the Tucson regional). LSU is the home team in the opening round game vs. Louisville.

Now my head hurts. If the top 8 teams put in bids to host a super regional and have qualifying facilities, and win their regional, they host. Period.

If LSU is #6 and wins a regional, they host supers. If Louisiana is #6 and wins a regional, they host supers.

How's that? 1-8 host if they all win.

This is not what the original poster was asking. Let me try to rephrase ...

LSU was not a National Seed this season (Top 16). Louisiana was (#6). LSU was not sent to Lafayette for the regional round (but they certainly could have been sent to Lafayette).

Instead ... had LSU been the #6 National Seed and Louisiana was not a National Seed (but a #2 regional seed) ... the poster was asking would Louisiana have been sent to Baton Rouge for the regional round. As has been the case several times in the past (only to see the Cajuns win the Baton Rouge regional time and time again).
