Personally I kind of like the "non-story" around us. Nothing about a Cinderella or a question surrounding our seeding. Just the Cajuns doing what they do every year.....

LS Who pitching? Do you really think a freshman with no experience on a big stage can pitch her team to win a regional, much less a super regional? Their All American couldn't get it done last year. No way Corbello does it this year. So, all though I don't think they'll get out of the desert, I'd prefer LS Who.
She was originally a commit to us when LSU didn't want to offer her. She's been very good at times against very good competition, so I wouldn't just dismiss that she can pitch well in a difficult environment. The positive would be that we have some hitter's who have seen her through high schools. I don't think she's an overpowering pitcher, but can hit spots and has a very good change up.
That's why home field is so important. It will be much more difficult for a team with a freshman pitcher to come here or go to the west coast and win. Both Campbell and Beard were rattled here and they are two of the top era pitchers in the nation. And they are seniors. I'm not saying Corbello is a bad pitcher. I just think a freshman on this stage can become overwhelmed. Example: The freshman, Prince, for Kentucky in the SEC championship game.
Actions speak louder than words so I'll leave it up to the team. My point was that in years past a lot of the pub we got at selection time was the underdog type story or had a little bit of a spin on it since we didn't belong to the elite group.
Dang Express you seem pretty ticked off about softball after what many think was a great night for us.
Every year, we complain that they pretend our softball team doesn't belong in the elite group of teams.
Last night, there was no question. No apology for this school being in the top 6. No stammering to try to explain it.
This is what we've been asking for.
So what's the problem?
Oh, I forgot: we're Ragin' Cajuns. We have to suck the life out of everything like it's a crawfish head.
… and my intuition was correct. Missouri actually finished with the #10 RPI ranking.
Once again, your Top 8 RPI were the Top 8 National Seeds.
Your Top 16 RPI were the Top 16 National Seeds.
Louisiana was #6 (RPI), as I expected. Florida State was #7 and Oklahoma was #8, as expected. Arizona State was #9.
Texas finished with the #26 RPI ranking. Mississippi State #30.
