Here is a breakdown of the Cajuns' RPI ...

These are the numbers through 5/4 ...

The following is a very close estimation through the games of Saturday 5/10. It includes a completely accurate WP and OWP ... along with a very close OOWP. The OOWP is the accurate OOWP from 5/4 plus up to date OOWP contributions from ULM, WKU, and South Alabama.

OOWP: .54290 (estimated)

An Adjusted RPI of .66851 should be good enough for at least the #7 RPI ranking (likely #7) ... and could possibly finish ahead of Florida State at #6.

Of course, the RPI bonuses could have shifted today and/or tomorrow. You want to cheer for the teams I outlined in an earlier post ... in addition to our opponents. We want Oklahoma State to knock off Oklahoma tomorrow. We also want Baylor to defeat Texas ... but it is not a big deal if Texas wins.

As a comparison, I did a quick check of Florida State utilizing the same quick calcs. That is, WP and OOWP are current and up to date through 5/11. OOWP is from 5/4. We have ...

OOWP: .55053 (estimated ... from 5/4)

RPI Bonus: .02590 (this could change ... positive or negative ... today and/or tomorrow)

This is still .00237 behind the Cajuns' estimate of .66834. But this is a slim lead that could be affected by either a reasonably significant change in OOWP ... or a couple of RPI bonus changes ... or a combination of the two. Thus, the Cajuns may have held on to the #6 RPI ranking.
