Friday Softball updates

Still think Coach got too conservative in 9th on base paths. Lack of timely hits. Christina had two bad pitches and paid price of batters not coming thru. Three pop ups in 7th were killers but too many opportunities in earlier inning. I know I expect too much from these kids and South Al played a super defensive game and pitcher was lights out when we had runners scoring position. Still think Coach was too conservative.

Brown pitches against ULM? Wallace and Brown? Would have liked Brown in 8th for a change of pace. They had had a long look at Hamilton and she was getting hit pretty good.

The conservatism was what he decided to allow at the plate with 3 on and no outs. It wasn't base running passivity.

There goes the old RPI. A loss then have to play ULM. Not exactly what we were hoping for. Cajuns for once the team not able to get a clutch hit. Gotta give USA credit, but Cajuns gave that one away.

While a Conference Tournament Championship is still a possibility it would be really disappointing to be so close to hosting a Super Regional and falling short. Those opportunities don't come often for a team like us outside a major conference.
