HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Louisiana was picked to finish seventh in the Sun Belt West Division. The Lady Cajuns did not have a representative on the Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Team.
Errol Rogers enters his second season at the helm of Louisiana’s women’s basketball program. The Cajuns finished 8-22 overall, 4-14 in Sun Belt play last season. The Ragin’ Cajuns return only six players from a year ago. Rogers believes his newcomers will quickly learn to defend the entire court and play better defense as a group. The team is expected to shoot better and have a better transition offense and defense.
The Lady Cajuns will make their 2008-09 season debuts on Tuesday, Nov. 4 in the CAJUNDOME as part of an exhibition doubleheader. The women will meet LSU-Shreveport at 5 p.m.
