I don't have to know their plan, I've seen their plan. Pass on THE defensive talent to take a shot at a smaller school defender in order to pick offense, then cross your fingers. I'm tired of the Johny Patricks and Corey Whites. DENNARD was the pick. Not to mention, has this team EVER hit on a franchise corner?
The entire basis of my disagreement is that Cooks was not the IMMEDIATE need. Cornerback is. Have to be able to stop the pass in order to win, especially with Atlanta and TB receiving corps going forward.
Cooks and Austin may have similar skill sets, but no way can you predict the same results when each of the QB's/Offenses are on different planets.
You response may be that that means he's a system WR? Oh well, that doesn't matter bc
he will be "our" system WR, won't give 2 schits how he does if he leaves in a few years.
