I think bailey will play 20-25 snaps, he will be the tutor to whatever bc we do draft, as well as the young db's we ready have

The myth that every old Free Agent comes in just to tutor young players. I guarantee you Bailey is trying to win a spot at the table...not worrying about coaching up anyone.

He will need to reclaim that lightning in a bottle he had during the 2012 regular season, and lost in a playoff game due to a terrible playing surface. I hope he finds his way.

Pierre Desir is the guy a lot are talking about. Small school guy but a big CB

He wants a ring, of course he wants to play. You don't play as long as he did without wanting to play but if him helping younger guys around him helps him get a ring, I promise that's what he will do.

We have a few really nice safeties that Ryan can package similar to what he did last year and only need 2 CB's on the field (Vaccaro to nickel at times.) I still have concerns about the CB depth though since we seem to lose 2-3 every year to injury. I'm hoping it gets addressed next round
I think your logic prevails. I like the Cooks pic (even trading up). I also think a slightly bigger need is at CB. But, draft results on the field have proven there's stellar CBs available in the top 3 or 4 rounds.

That's not how it works in the NFL. The more he helps younger guys around him...the less chance he gets to play out his 2 year contract. Bailey is playing for Bailey.

He isn't Brett favre, he is a teammate. You don't think Keenan Lewis helps Cory white? You don't think Byrd will help vaccarro? Don't let you being hater make you sound like an idiot. They all trying to win a ring. It doesn't cross bailey's mind for one second that a rookie is better than him. You are looking at it like a fan, pro athletes don't think like that. They always think they are the best.

I'm not the one bringing up the old trope of well past his prime Free Agent comes in as tutor. Bailey might be trying to win a ring...but he was doing that in Denver too...they just didn't want to pay him anymore. He wants to play...and coaching up younger players in his same position will not help him accomplish that goal. That isn't just NFL players...human beings are like that. We are jealous, petty creatures.

Look I didn't think Jared Allen possibly coming to the Seahawks was gonna help Bruce Irvin learn the mystical ways of the pass rush. It was just a guy on his last go around trying to make some more money. Please don't think Champ Bailey gives a rats ___ about the younger corners on the Saints team...dude is trying to get two more years of paychecks.
