TD has a niche for getting those "resignations." He got Sam Robertson to "resign" as well. It should have been TD resigning back then. Sam was as good as any of those who followed him --- and had less $$. Being a good guy was something TD could not handle, I guess. And didn't TD dioce his wife and marry his promotions director from USL days? Tricha Brown????? Hmmm, those Baptist deacons. LOL!

Misspelled the word divorce in the original post. Can't edit.

Nothing wrong being fired or resign with that pay-day. Get's paid for the rest of the season plus $3.5 million. His contract was to run untill 2014. The question is, can he apply for a job and still get the money?

I find something wrong with college coaches getting canned at mid-season. This is not pro sports. Winning is very important in college, but it should not be the only thing. I think the only coaches that should be fired mid-season are the ones linked to improper conduct. College sports gets more and more ridiculous every year.

Because of recruiting I disagree. If you fire a coach at the end of the year (December) and begin a search for a new coach at that time, you give a new coach what a month to recruit.

The new coach is already picked --it will be his college roomy that did not get the UL job over Stokley-----JC Curtis takes the veer to Clemson----LOL---I think!!!

The only problem with Curtis being hired at Clemson is he won't be able to recruit the junior high kids to attend John Curtis High School.
