But, but Roberts of ULM is the SBC freshman of the year. How can this be?
Congrats to Haley Hayden.
One of only 2 finalists from a non-major conference. This makes the SB-C look petty and uninformed.
Yes, spreading the awards around so we don't win everything is akin to everyone getting a trophy in T-ball.
It was mentioned on the Sun Belt board by some Cajun fans that it probably would have been more palatable to have Hannah Campbell from South Al selected as pitcher of the year over Christina than have Haley not be FOY.
And just happened to get a comeback starting base hit in the bottom of the 7th with two outs in tonight's game, and that wound up in a walk off slam. A freshman stepping up, then three sophomores finish it off.
I know this year is a long way from over but as good as they are this year, they're gonna be SICK next year especially if Jordan finds her groove again.
And don't you know the conference just LOVED posting this on the website.

Makes the SB-C coaches look really bad.
like they care what they look like. Soft ball coaches are a strange lot for sure across this great land.
Have you seen south Al's coach, she already looks bad
